Three-time Tony Award winner Frank Langella will be back on Broadway next spring in the title role of “The Father,” a play by Florian Zeller that has earned acclaim in Europe.

Manhattan Theater Club on Tuesday added the production, which will be directed by Doug Hughes, to its season. “The Father” will begin previews March 22 and open April 12 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theater.
