The premise of “Tail! Spin!”, a stage comedy about political sex scandals, dictates that its lead characters are all men: dishonored officials like Anthony D. Weiner, the former congressman brought down by unseemly photos and an itchy Twitter finger, and Representative Mark Sanford, whose romantic misadventures with an ex-wife and an ex-fiancée continue to accumulate.

This leaves Rachel Dratch, the comic actress and “Saturday Night Live” alumna, only one role in this show, but it is plenty. She portrays the many women who are central to these stories — wronged wives and unflinching mistresses, plus one crusading broadcast journalist — whose dialogue is assembled from real-life interviews, public statements and raunchy electronic communiqués.
