The Salzburg Festival is as famous for its opera as the city is for its spires, winding streets and von Trapps, but every so often it stages a dramatic marvel. And what sticks most in my memory is Mnemonic, the hugely inventive play given its world premiere by the British company Complicite in a shabby theatre in a Salzburg side street.
