Another STC term for Blanchett and Upton

CATE BLANCHETT and Andrew Upton have reversed the recent trend for exits at Sydney Theatre Company by signing on for another three years as co-artistic directors.

In recent months the company's long-serving general manager, Rob Brookman, and chairman, Ian Darling, have announced that they are leaving.

Blanchett and Upton, who are two-thirds through their first term, will now continue until the end of 2013.

“It is a really great privilege to lead Sydney Theatre Company. We hope more and more people, especially those in Sydney, will find their way to the company and join us on this incredible ride,” the pair said.
