Drunken! Careening! Writers!

July, 2016

Greetings DCW fans!

I hope you are having a safe, fun Fourth! I'm on the road (again), but hope to be back in time for this month's event, not the least of which because we are performing some of my work.

Before I go on…a HUGE DCW shoutout to the June readers: first to Carol Rosenfeld for stepping in at the last minute when I was detained out of town (again), and to the wonderful lineup of Virginia Baeta, Rob Byrnes and Guillermo Filice Castro! And, if you check below, you'll find a link to the workshop/performance of Virginia's dyke noir play, "Damaged Goods" at the Dixon Place HOT Festival on July 19!

This month, it's all about the playwrights: the delectable J. Julian Christopher, whose "Locusts Have No King" was a huge hit at INTAR earlier this year, and Kristen Palmer, whose work I was privileged to hear when she was an MFA student of Tina Howe's at Hunter College. Now she's all OVER the place, including DCW in July.

So I will be MOST pleased to be back at the old stomping grounds in just a few weeks, and hope to see you there.

Jetting off again…

Kathleen W.
