(Dominic Cavendish’s article appeared in the Telegraph, 5/18.)

I’m the schmuck who went to see The Play That Goes Wrong, the hit about a night of disastrous am-dram theatricals, failed to get enthused about this run-away fringe success, and included it in my round-up of “worst shows of 2014”.

More fool me. They’ve cheekily used that line as part of their marketing campaign and the show is now in its third year in the West End – with an Olivier Award to boot! Now, after a well-received spin-off calledPeter Pan Goes Wrong, Mischief Theatre (a bunch of plainly talented, commercially savvy LAMDA graduates) have parked a third crowd-pleaser in the heart of theatreland, this time – the chutzpah of it – without any try-out.
