A prince finds a maiden weeping by a spring in the woods. He's lost. She's lost. They marry and return to his gloomy castle by the sea. She falls in love with his brother. She lets her long hair fall from her tower window. A ring slips into a bottomless fountain. Jealousy. Flight. Death.
