Three shows lead nominations for off-Broadway's 25th Lucille Lortel Awards

Nominations for the 25th Lucille Lortel Awards — which recognize achievement in the off-Broadway theater — were announced Thursday with "The Glass Menagerie," "The Pride" and "When the Rain Stops Falling" leading the field with six each.
One notable race will be in the directing category, where David Cromer ("When the Rain Stops Falling") will be going for his third straight Lortel, competing against 2003 winner Joe Mantello ("The Pride") and first-time nominees Walter Bobbie ("Venus in Fur"), Pam MacKinnon ("Clybourne Park") and Gordon Edelstein ("The Glass Menagerie").
